This year, we’re privileged to honor William A. Witte, Chairman and CEO of Related California. Mr. Witte has dedicated his career to addressing affordable housing and homelessness.

Reunification services can lead to a vital support system for anyone experiencing homelessness.

Even though Black or African-American individuals make up only 8% of the broader demographic of Los Angeles County, fully one-third of people experiencing homelessness represent that demographic. While homelessness is an issue that can affect anyone, it’s deeply intertwined with issues race, posing unique challenges for Black communities.

In everything we do — from programming to architecture — serving our residents is our focus.

Over the past month, we hosted Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky on Veteran’s Day, Art Day, and a Thanksgiving feast. Each of these events showcased the community being built. Here at 11010 smB, we serve seniors and senior Veterans in our permanent supportive housing.

Giving Tuesday serves as a powerful symbol of radical generosity—a reminder to leverage our time, resources, and finances to create a more compassionate world.

On October 12, 2023, the Weingart Center hosted a special groundbreaking ceremony for 600 San Pedro, its newest permanent supportive housing development located in downtown Los Angeles.

Weingart Tower, our newest permanent supportive housing development in downtown LA, makes us proud too.

Due to the long-lasting impact that trauma has on physical and mental health, healthcare providers and policymakers are adopting trauma-informed organizational and clinical best practices that have the potential to improve health outcomes.

Weingart Center has built and recently opened 11010 smB, offering permanent supportive housing for seniors and senior veterans, giving dignity and hope back to people without a home.

USC Viterbi students who tour the Village are tasked to come up with ideas for improvements in the center — and ways to add to the lives of those who live there.

Weingart’s Golf Classic raises money every year to address homelessness in Los Angeles, and 2023’s sold-out event proved to be a banner year. 

We believe that no one deserves to be homeless and that those experiencing homelessness can get back on their feet with the right assistance. And our work at the Weingart Center shows this to be true.

On February 15, 2023, the Weingart Center hosted a special ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand opening of 11010 smB, its newest permanent supportive housing development for seniors and senior Veterans.

Our 27th Annual Weingart Golf Classic promises to be a great day of fun in the sun.

Puzzles are proven effective at team-building, increasing cognitive function, curbing boredom, and are perfect for socializing. The Weingart Center received puzzles of every variety from many generous donors, and on Friday, January 27, 2023, clients at our DTLA location enjoyed a Pizza and Puzzle Party.

We’re excited to announce that Jessica Lall, former President & CEO of Central City Association (CCA), and the newly appointed Managing Director of CBRE’s DTLA office, will be awarded the Champions for Change Award during the 27th Annual Weingart Golf Classic on April 3, 2023!

On Friday, January 13, 2023, the Weingart Center welcomed Los Angeles Mayor, Karen Bass, as she toured Skid Row, the Weingart Center, and Weingart Towers, which are currently under construction.
