Ian Giddens
Ian’s artwork is deeply influenced by the unflinching realism and social critique of Otto Dix (1891–1969), the emotional intensity and dramatic vision of Francisco Goya (1746–1828), and the fascination with structure and illusion seen in the works of M.C. Escher (1898–1972).
By weaving together sharp observation, psychological depth, and intricate visual patterns, Ian creates pieces that confront the complexities of contemporary life. His work invites viewers to reflect on the interplay between vulnerability and resilience, reality and imagination—echoing the insight and connection found in the artists he most admires.
Ian is a resident of Weingart Tower in downtown Los Angeles.
