WeingART WORKs Celebrates Its First Anniversary

Three resident art contest winners

On September 19, residents and staff gathered at Weingart Tower to celebrate a meaningful milestone — one year of WeingART WORKs, our resident arts program that encourages creativity, connection, and self-expression.

The anniversary celebration was full of joy, laughter, and inspiration. Residents showcased their talents in an art contest, with three artists receiving awards for their standout pieces. There were refreshments, music, and plenty of smiles as everyone reflected on how much the program has grown in just one year.

A highlight of the event was a collaborative community art project inspired by the theme “One Year Brighter.” Residents added their own creative touches to the piece, each symbolizing brightness, renewal, and hope. The final artwork represents what WeingART WORKs is all about — coming together to create something meaningful, one brushstroke at a time.

In its first year, WeingART WORKs has become much more than an arts program. It’s a space where residents can explore their creativity, connect with one another, and find new ways to express themselves. The one-year celebration was a reminder of how art can bring people together — and how every bit of creativity adds more light to our community.
