From Door Décor to Mask Art: Halloween Brings Residents Together

This spooky season, Weingart Center’s permanent supportive housing residents celebrated with events that brought neighbors together and made their buildings feel even more like home.

At the The Weingart Willows, residents got into the holiday spirit during a Halloween Door Decorating Contest on October 22. Hallways came alive with festive displays—from playful pumpkins to imaginative spooky scenes—as neighbors showcased their creativity and pride in their homes. The event brought smiles, laughter, and a wonderful sense of togetherness throughout the building.

Meanwhile, at Weingart Tower, residents participated in a WeingART WORKs DIY Halloween Masks Workshop, part of our resident arts program that encourages self-expression through creativity. Over two days, participants designed and decorated masks that were as unique and imaginative as the residents themselves.

Activities like these help residents build community, express creativity, and feel at home. Halloween offers an opportunity not only for fun and artistry, but also for connection.
