At Weingart Center, we’re committed to providing the best treatment and care possible to our clients. That's why our dedicated Clinical Services Department focuses on ensuring each client's mental health needs are addressed. Whether the client is experiencing symptoms of depression or struggling with substance abuse issues — we have programs that focuses on those issues.

Our Clinical Services Department is comprised of highly trained professionals who understand the unique challenges facing individuals who have experienced homelessness. They work closely with clients to develop individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs and goals for recovery. They also provide ongoing support and feedback during treatment so that clients can track their progress toward achieving those goals.

Our team of substance abuse counselors and clinicians use best-practice treatment models that include: early recovery, relapse prevention, educational groups, social support groups, crisis intervention and individual counseling.

Assessment

Weingart Center has a unique approach to client management. The process begins with an in-person assessment that helps the case manager understand each client, their barriers, and how they can best be supported. Every new enrollment is assigned a case manager who will work with that client throughout their time.

Clients will be asked to complete a biopsychosocial assessment, which is a comprehensive evaluation conducted during the intake process and before any mental health treatment. It is often used to help address a specific presenting problem, such as anxiety or depression. The biopsychosocial assessment includes information about the client's physical health and family history, as well as their psychological and social functioning. Because it is so comprehensive, it may take longer to complete than a more traditional therapy intake assessment.

 Programs

We know that recovery from addiction and mental health issues can be a long, difficult process. Our mental health team aims to help individuals establish and maintain personal goals and develop a healthy, independent lifestyle free from the debilitating effects of mental illness and addiction. Our group sessions include:

  • 16-week, intensive substance treatment (Matrix)

  • 12-week Anger Management sessions

  • Women’s Wellness group

  • Reel Therapy

  • Art Therapy

The clinical services department offers individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on issues such as trauma, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and grief and loss.
