Interim Housing

Interim Housing offers a temporary but essential bridge for individuals experiencing homelessness, providing them with a supportive environment as they transition toward more stable, long-term housing solutions. It's designed to meet immediate needs, offering shelter, basic amenities, and access to supportive services aimed at addressing the root causes of homelessness. Weingart Center - main campus

Originally built in 1925, the Weingart Center’s 610-bed main campus is located in the 11-story former El Rey Hotel building located at the corner of 6th Street and San Pedro Street in Downtown Los Angeles. Our Weingart Access Center, Weingart Café, clinical services department, and much more are headquartered at this location.

Gardner Street Women’s Bridge Housing

Located at 1403 N Gardner St in Los Angeles, the Gardner Street Women's Bridge Housing is a dedicated facility for 30 women experiencing homelessness. Housed in a repurposed city-owned library, this center is equipped with a kitchen, garden, terrace, and dining area. The all-female staff, including Licensed Clinical Social Workers, provides comprehensive services aimed at health, well-being, and life skills.

A Bridge Home: Civic Center

The A Bridge Home Civic Center at 310 N Main St, Los Angeles, is a 99-bed facility operated by the Weingart Center. It serves both men and women, focusing on transitioning homeless individuals into permanent housing. The program includes housing placement, case management, mental health, and substance abuse support.

A Bridge Home: SCHRADER

A Bridge Home: Schrader — operated by Weingart Center — is a key facility providing services for the City's homeless population. This 72-bed program accommodates both men and women, with a focus on quickly transitioning individuals from street homelessness to stabilized living and eventually, permanent housing. The center is equipped to address a broad range of needs essential for this transition.

Hilda L. Solis Care First Village

The Hilda L. Solis Care First Village, managed by the Weingart Center, stands as an innovative interim housing solution in Los Angeles. Occupying 60,000 square feet, this facility utilizes prefabricated modular units to offer 232 interim housing units. The village features a large dog park, a full-service kitchen, a vegetable garden, and more.

THE WEINGART BEACON

The Weingart Beacon is a 61-unit Interim housing facility that is designed to transition into Permanent Supportive Housing in 2024, offering a sustainable solution for those experiencing homelessness, this facility is equipped to support both individuals and couples, providing a comprehensive range of services essential for transitioning to stable living conditions.

Vagabond

Vagabond is a 61-unit, service-enriched program for high-acuity women. Services include housing placement, case management, mental health services, substance abuse support, personal storage, and a place for clients’ pets.

L.A. Grand

The L.A. Grand is a 480-unit interim housing solution for men and women, operated by the Weingart Center. Services include housing placement, three meals a day, case management, mental health services, and substance abuse support, and is pet-friendly.
