200+ Homeless Individuals Receive Clothing from L.A. Public Works & Weingart Center - 23/12/2011

Partnership to distribute more than 5,000 items to the homeless, including jackets, sweatshirts and pants

WHAT: Volunteers from the Weingart Center and the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works to distribute clothing to 200 homeless individuals at the Weingart Center’s annual holiday event. Participants will receive items including warm winter jackets, sweatshirts, dress shirts, pants, and toys in time for the holidays, as well as a holiday meal. In total, 5,000 items will be distributed to the 200 participants who are part of the Weingart Center’s transitional housing and rehabilitation programs.
