Jean and Sedrick-- Women’s Renaissance, Project Paycheck

Jean and Sedrick have faced many challenges including homelessness, drug addiction and having their autistic son abused by a foster parent. “Everything was an issue--money, food, even hygiene,” remembers Jean. Thanks to the Weingart Center, Jean and Sedrick are working, stable and looking forward to the future.

Billie Jean -- EMERGE

“I started feeling like a normal person and I saw that I can be respected for who I am,” says Billie Jean. “If I hadn’t come to the Weingart Center, I don’t think I would have made it in any other program.”

Carlos - Project Fatherhood & Veterans

Carlos is a father who found himself jobless, homeless, and unable to provide for his family after a back injury derailed his career. "I am dedicated and motivated to do whatever it takes," says Carlos, "to have my family reunited and to raise my kids in a traditional family and healthy environment."

Jeremy - Project Paycheck

Even a neuroscience degree from UCLA didn't keep Jeremy from ending up homeless when a drug addiction took hold of him. “The Weingart Center has been the best experience of all the rehabs that I’ve been in because it helped me pull myself out of the mess I created.”

Willie was homeless for over 15 years. Now he is working and has a place to live. “They make a personal commitment to help you get something going in your life,” says Willie of his case managers at the Weingart Center.
