Center for Community Health MAKE A DONATION

The Center for Community Health Downtown Los Angeles, a state-of-the-art medical facility provides integrated care to the more than 18,000 homeless and low-income people in and around Skid Row.  The 21,000-square-foot facility, located at the Weingart Center, provides a variety of medical services under one roof, including:

  • Primary health care
  • Dentistry
  • Optometry
  • A pharmacy
  • Full laboratory
  • Radiology Services
  • Mental health services
  • Substance abuse services
  • Social work and case management services
  • Public Health services, including TB Control, HIV/AIDS Services
  • Benefits Counseling for access to SSI and MediCal
  • Periodic on-site medical specialists such as dermatologists, podiatrists, cardiologists, and surgeons

In Partnership
The Community Health Center is licensed to and managed by JWCH Institute, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), which will also provide primary healthcare and other services to homeless and low-income people. Other onsite collaborative service providers are the Los Angeles County Departments of Health Services, Public Health, and Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.  Adjunct family services will be provided by the County Skid Row Family Assessment Team. The Weingart Center Association will oversee the physical plant operations.
