Barbara “always wanted to give back”, and the cause that really touched her heart was homelessness. “Homelessness is such a huge issue and not just in LA but all over the world,” states Barbara. “It’s a global issue.”

When Barbara started looking a few years ago for the right social services organization to affiliate with, her friendship with Lillian Ponce de Leon and Paz Hernandez, members of the Weingart Center Partners volunteer group, led to an introduction to the Weingart Center and its programs to help homeless men and women.  Barbara has been a loyal supporter of the Weingart Center ever since, volunteering at many fundraising and participant events. Barbara joined the Weingart Center Board of Directors early in 2008.
