Weingart Center Garden Project Opening Reception

The Weingart Center Garden Project seeks to provide a green oasis in Skid Row, allowing people to draw on the relaxing and healing power of nature to assist them in transforming their lives.  This is an AmeriCorps Week 2010 project by the “Hope for the Homeless” AmeriCorps Members and community volunteers, sponsored by Weingart Center Association in partnership with Los Angeles Christian Health Centers, Los Angeles Mission, Midnight Mission, Union Rescue Mission, and Volunteers of America.

Parking
We highly advise you to walk to the opening reception if you work in the area.  Carpooling and public transportation are also suggested.  Parking is very limited so please arrive EARLY to give you enough time to park and walk to the opening reception and press conference.
