Support Team Jonathan

Just as a marathon runner needs endurance to make it to the finish line, the Weingart Center focuses on long-term solutions when helping homeless veterans, providing transitional housing, employment services and a support network.

Jonathan is a participant in the Weingart Center’s veterans transitional housing program, and he is asking you to sponsor his marathon race.  When you make a contribution to Team Jonathan, you not only enable him to him to participate in the Long Beach Marathon on October 9th but you will also support the life-changing programs for veterans at the Weingart Center.

The health issues and subsequent loss of his grandparents while he was serving in the Air Force overseas affected Jonathan deeply, and made him determined to maintain his health.  He has become an avid runner.  And though he is in a transitional phase of his life, he still wants to give back to the community just as he did during his years of military service when he was a member of ACE— Airmen Committed to Excellence— a group  focused on philanthropic activities such as organizing food drives.
