Legislators Day

Legislative Day is an annual reception hosted by the Weingart Center Association to give our lawmakers the opportunity to visit Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles and see the comprehensive human services given individuals in order to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.

A Sultry Night in Casablanca -- Summer Soiree

The 8th Annual Summer Soiree, A Sultry Night in Casablanca, will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at the LUXE Hotel at Sunset Blvd. This Casablanca-themed event will feature a live jazz band, casino gaming, Moroccan cuisine and a signature drink, plus an incredible silent auction. AmeriCorps Graduation 2011

Come celebrate with us as our AmeriCorps members graduate from their program. As an AmeriCorps member, individuals receive hands-on training and experience in the human services field, providing critical street outreach to the homeless population in Skid Row. We are proud of the work they do and for their achievements. -
EPIC Graduation 2011

Please join us as we celebrate our EPIC program's graduation. EPIC helps people on parole successfully re-enter the community by providing transitional housing, behavioral modification, education, vocational training and job placement. We are so very proud of our graduates! -

15th Annual Weingart Center Golf Classic

As one of Southern California's premiere charity tournaments, the Weingart Center Golf Classic offers players an exceptional golfing experience while also building awareness and raising funds for the Weingart Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that helps homeless men and women lead self-sufficient lives off the streets.

Participant Harvest Festival

Elaborate decorations set the scene at our annual Harvest Festival, held on October 29th. Our participants were treated to dinner and ice cream bars. The night also included pumpkin-carving, costume and dance contests.

Black Tie & Pink's

The Black Tie & Pink's event transformed part of Skid Row into glamorous Hollywood. A full moon, glowing pink lanterns and the UCLA jazz band created a chic ambiance while 150 guests dined on appetizers from Border Grill's Taco Truck and fare from legendary Pink's Hot Dogs.

Women's Day of Self-Esteem

Our female participants were transported to New Orleans Mardi Gras as they entered the Weingart café on the evening of Wednesday, May 12, 2010 for the annual Women’s Day of Self-Esteem. Thank you to all our staff and volunteers who organized and hosted the event, which brought smiles and lots of joy to the ladies who currently call the Weingart Center home. We would also like to thank all of the generous companies that sponsored our event by donating items for the ladies. We’d especially like to thank: Neilsen Media, Walt Disney Studios, CondomJungle, LA Shares, Southern California Gas Company.

A Tribute to Transformation was an exclusive charity event hosted by: Remake My Life and AEG in conjunction with its Season of Giving campaign. This event celebrated the Weingart Center Association’s 25th anniversary and benefited our programs and services that serve the 75,000 homeless people in Los Angeles. Minnie Foxx was the emcee of the event and Darlene Love performed live!

Participant Holiday Party

The holidays can be an especially hard time for our participants so each year we provide a wonderful holiday celebration for them. This year, our Participant Holiday Party was held on Wednesday, December 17. Participants were treated to a live band, featuring our Veterans program coordinator, Darrell Wright. Participants also enjoyed a holiday feast, arts & crafts, a performance by our EPIC program's choir and lots of dancing. A great time was had by all of our participants. -

Benevolence: A Cosmopolitan Holiday Gathering, presented by Mozaic Media + Communications, the Orchid "O" Hotel and the Weingart Partners of Downtown Los Angeles, was held on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at The O Hotel. Festivities included: music, appetizers, sponsored spirits by Tequila Alquimia and Edison Beer, and networking with some of Los Angeles' most interesting people. The event created awareness for the Weingart Center Association and raised several thousand dollars for the agency.

Presented by Beverly Hills Live, the Grown & Sexy Super Bash was hosted by Vivica A. Fox and included: music by Slim of 112 and Loose Ends, DJs spinning and dancing all night.
