A Tribute to Transformation 25th Anniversary Celebration

A Tribute to Transformation was an exclusive charity event that celebrates the Weingart Center Association’s 25th anniversary which benefitted our programs and services that serve the 75,000 homeless people in Los Angeles. This inspiring and entertaining event was hosted by: Remake My Life, AEG in conjunction with its Season of Giving campaign, and the Weingart Partners, a volunteer group.
We were very fortunate to have Minnie Foxx, Film/TV/Theater Actress and Motivational Speaker, as the emcee for the evening's festivities, and Darlene Love, 2010 Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame Nominee, performing live in a special engagement! Darlene Love had not performed in LA for over three years.

The Event Hosts
Remake My Life is a women's empowerment social movement and soon to be television reality show that is a whole life makeover from the inside out. The TV series is produced by Shellie Hunt of Success is By Design and Richard and Sally Crawford of One Productions. Shellie Hunt, the show’s host and co-producer of RML, gives the makeover candidates the opportunity of personal and financial success and establishes higher ground for women. The women of RML have already demonstrated their commitment to the community by raising more than $20,000 for the Center! Now they stand poised to do it again on a much grander scale for the Weingart Center’s 25th Anniversary celebration.
AEG is one of the leading sports and entertainment presenters in the world. Recognizing the challenging times facing our community, AEG designed a four-month campaign, Season of Giving, to raise funds and generate awareness in support of non-profit organizations working on issues related to hunger, homelessness and healthcare. The campaign will focus on using AEG’s internal and external assets to raise funds for groups doing work in these areas. The campaign will also incorporate employee volunteer opportunities and encourage corporate volunteerism during a time when resources normally available to non-profit organizations are diminishing.
The Weingart Partners are professionals who have committed themselves to creating a better community by volunteering their time and resources to organize annual fundraising events and volunteer activities that benefit the Weingart Center Association and homeless individuals throughout downtown Los Angeles and Southern California.
