Volunteer

The Weingart Center Association greatly appreciates the support and assistance from volunteers.  The mission of the Volunteer Program is to expand and augment the services of the Weingart Center through provision of interesting, challenging and rewarding volunteer and intern opportunities for individuals to be of service as a vital component of the Weingart Center Association.

At this time, there is an immediate need for volunteers for the following events:

• Annual Fundraising Event:"City Live – Striking Out Homelessness & Poverty."  This event will take place on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 5:30 p.m. at Dodger Stadium.
• The preparation and assembly of holiday gift bags for our homeless clients, to be distributed at the annual holiday party.  Bags will be assembled on Saturday, December 2 at 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.
• "Bringing the Holidays to Skid Row" -  The annual holiday client party will take place on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. 

The Weingart Partners is a volunteer group committed to supporting the Weingart Center and enhancing awareness and recognition, in order to help strive for solutions to the problems of homelessness within our community. The Weingart Partners assist in several events and activities throughout the year and are a wonderful way to get involved with the Weingart Center.
