Specialized Care

The Specialized Shelter Program provides short-term housing, mental health services, and other support services to severely and chronically mentally ill individuals referred by Downtown Mental Health: an off-site clinic operated by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. The Specialized Shelter Program allows its participants time for medical stabilization, time to find appropriate housing, and time for resolution of any benefit-related problems.
