City Live 2002 - It's Still Cool to Care was an undeniable success. More than 600 people attended, many were dressed in 1960's attire in celebration of a generation of leaders who invoked a social consciousness and activism into the hearts of Americans that continues to shape our lives today.
The evening was highlighted with special performances by the former ladies of The Supremes along with a recreation of a live Doors' concert by Wild Child.
Honorees included Tony Anderson, Managing Partner, SW Pacific Region, Ernst & Young; Gordon Davidson, Artistic Director, Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum, Los Angeles County Music Center; and David Hollander, Creator and Executive Producer of the hit television series, The Guardian. Sheila Reagor, graduate of Weingart Center's SuperTrack program received the 'Client Inspiration Award'.
Event Chairs were Tom Gilmore, President and CEO, Gilmore Associates; Steve Mosko, President, Sony Pictures Television; Michael Perry, Vice Chairman and CEO, IndyMack Bank; Charles C. Reed, Vice Chair, AON; Lily Tomlin, Actress and Comedienne.

The evening was a special blend of cool entertainment with memorable messages of the decade and it raised much needed funds impacting the lives of thousands of homeless men and women served each year by the Weingart Center.
