Clinical/ Social Services Liaison
(Employment)
The Social Service Liaison will provide clinical support and services. The service will include crisis intervention, conflict resolution, life skills classes (anger management, stress management), recovery groups, intake evaluations and psychosocial assessments. The Social Service Liaison will also be responsible for coordinating referrals and facilitating access to treatment, and developing and maintaining community resources.
EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
•Master degree in social work.
•A minimum of three years of counseling and case management experience in substance abuse, mental health and dual diagnosis treatment and service delivery.
•Experience facilitating psycho-educational groups.

Case Manager
(Employment)
The Case Manager works one-on-one with clients in the SRS Program. This Case Manager is responsible for developing a case plan that reflects an assessment of client needs, identification of appropriate resource and referral services and setting up realistic goals. The Case Manager will meet with clients on a weekly basis to check on progress and re-evaluate case plan if necessary. The caseload is 75-80 cases, clients are complex and frequently difficult and immediate rewards are few.
EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
•B.S./B.A. degree in social services preferred or 2 years of relevant social service experience.

Bilingual Case Manager
(Employment)
This is a highly responsible non-supervisory position. The Bilingual Caseworker works one-on-one with Spanish-speaking clients in the SRS Program. This Caseworker is responsible for developing a case plan that reflects an assessment of client needs, identification of appropriate resource and referral services and setting up realistic goals. The Bilingual Caseworker will meet with clients on a weekly basis to check on progress and re-evaluate case plan if necessary. The caseload is heavy (75-80 cases), clients are complex and frequently difficult and immediate rewards are few. In addition, the Bilingual Caseworker will provide translation services to the SRS Program as necessary. She/he will manage caseload of mono-lingual Spanish clients, will translate written materials into Spanish and will assist monolingual clients who are transitioning into other programs. She/he is also responsible for developing a Latino outreach program.
EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
•B.S./B.A. degree in social services preferred or minimum 12 completed college units in human services + 2 years of relevant social service experience.
•Spanish fluency required.

Food Service Worker
(Employment)
This position is an entry-level position. The primary functions of the Food Service Worker I is to perform a variety of duties relating to cafeteria-style service and preparation. These services include greeting customers, assisting clients with signing of meal vouchers, and food tray preparation. The Food Service Worker I will also maintain all sanitation standards.
EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
•High school graduate or equivalent.
•Food service experience preferred.

Cook
(Employment)
The primary function of the Cook is to prepare three meals daily (200 meals for each meal period). The Cook will interact with the Manager and Supervisors on menu planning, safety and sanitation. He/she is responsible for proper food storage and will maintain all sanitation standards. In addition, the Cook will perform a variety of duties relating to cafeteria-style service.
EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
•High school graduate or equivalent.
•Knowledge of industrial/hospital type food service.
•Must have extensive knowledge of all kitchen procedures, i.e., food preparation, food sanitation, food rotation (FIFO), kitchen safety, proper use of knives and cutting utensils.
•Must have at least 5 years experience as a cook.
•Formal training in food sanitation and safety.
•Must understand the factors of cross contamination and proper food storage.
•Must have the ability to use all types of kitchen equipment, i.e., steamers, ovens, stoves, grills, mixers, knives, etc..

Substance Abuse Counselor
(Employment)
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Program is designed to substantially augment residential programs for homeless men and women. The Counselor will provide Weingart Center clients a range of services under the supervision of the Clinical Program Manager, including recovery groups, psycho-educational and therapy groups, life skills classes including anger management, conflict resolution, relationship skills and other appropriate topics; relapse prevention and individual and group counseling.
EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
•CADAAC or Bachelors degree in psychology or social work required.
•A minimum of 2 years experience in substance abuse, mental health and dual diagnosis treatment and service delivery.
•Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
